What Cells Do When the Air Gets Thin
Leading up to the 2019 Nobel Prize Award Ceremony on Tuesday, 10 December 2019, we're publishing a series of blog articles on the research done by the new Nobel Laureates. This year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology, awarded to William G. Kaelin, Jr., Sir Peter J. Ratcliffe and Gregg L. Semenza, honours discoveries concerning how cells sense and respond to low oxygen levels.
