After completing his PhD at the University College Dublin, young scientist Conor Crawford now works at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam/Germany as Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow. The topic of his PhD and his current research – despite completely different thematic orientations – are stuck together by sugar.
For our blog, Conor wrote an introduction to the diverse field of glycosciences, the potential of the field and what his work has to do with vaccines and climate change.
