Exciting Opportunity for Early-Career Resarchers: The UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize for the Promotion of Young Scientists in STEM is open for nominations! Notably, Heiner Linke, Vice-President of the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, is chairing the selection jury this year.

Who can be nominated?

  • Early-career scientists under 40
  • with significant contributions in STEM research, education, or international cooperation
  • and recognized impact at a national, regional, or global level

What does the prize offer?

  • $50,000 per laureate (five winners)
  • UNESCO Medal and Diploma
  • Global recognition for advancing STEM fields

Who can nominate?

  • Governments, NGOs, and international scientific organizations
  • UNESCO Chairs and Category 2 Centres
  • Universities and research institutions
  • Self-nominations are not accepted.

The deadline for nominations is April 15, 2025.
